It took me about 30 minutes to have my PSE TAC Elite ready for the archery range. Once the prod, stock and barrel are assembled, you just have to mount the scope and you’re ready to rock and roll. Because of the way the AR-15 stock and trigger are designed, it is important to note that you must have the hammer of the AR-15 in the cocked position to install the crossbow barrel. Make sure to follow the directions, and assembly will be a breeze. The owner’s manual for the PSE TAC Elite provides very clear directions for how to assemble your crossbow. How Hard is the PSE TAC Elite to Assemble? Each package delivered by PSE includes the following items: The PSE TAC Elite combines the best of both worlds: AR-15 style shooting in a tactical crossbow. Hi, and welcome to our review of the PSE TAC Elite. Poor quality control leads to many reports of problems Powerful and hard-hitting, with 155 ft. I would not recommend anyone buy any crossbow without shooting one first.- PSE Customer Support very quick to resolve problems You have to know what your needs are, as you clearly do, to know whether or not this is a good fit. However, it does have a lot of well thought-out features that make up for the length for some people. You'll get no argument from me about it being cumbersome. ![]() ![]() Super cool design and concept.if they ever make a human sized version I'll be first in line. With it's size and price it's cornered itself into a small niche market of tactical lovers who will buy anything cool (which I generally fall into other than this one) no matter how practical it is. I know a lot of you will argue that but if you're an average person without an AR lower the size and price will be a major deterrent and if you do have a lower the size and price will be the same especially when compared to much smaller crossbows that are just as powerful and much cheaper. The actual construction looked very good and the concept is brilliant but it's sized most potential buyers right out because it's just too big. I can see if you're a big guy that makes normal sized gear look small, liking it because it would be "normal" sized for giants lol. Hauling it through the woods would be like carrying a boat anchor because of it's size and weight. Would be ok for shooting off a rest but there's no way I could shoot it accurately offhand (I'm 5'9 and pretty strong) so using it in a hunting situation just wasn't practical. One day, while at my LGS I come across one on display.talk about suck the wind out of me, the price was ridiculous (can't remember what it was but I had major sticker shock) and, while I knew it was long, I realized it was insanely long and heavy. With my disability getting worse shooting a compound has gotten almost impossible for me and already having a few AR's this seemed the perfect answer. The first time I heard of this crossbow I thought it was a great idea. It has many fans in the crossbow world among those even older than I that have never played video games in their lives. However, it is more than just a toy or a joke AR15 product. This would never be my recommendation for someone's first crossbow, and it is certainly a niche product. It is not my first choice for hunting, but it is also plenty capable if you have the room and a good rest. Though PSE clearly had a certain target market in mind when they named it, it is a real deal contender for those who like to shoot arrows into tiny groups at very long ranges. That said, while it is long, it is very fast, very accurate, and has a lot of features that many would like to see in more crossbows (railless, tunable design integral, gear-reduced cocking device replaceable trigger etc.). I'm too old to have played any FPS games after the original Doom back in the early 90s, and I take it you didn't actually watch the video because the sense that this came from a video game is the very first point I make. it's practical if you are the biggest modern warfare fan in the world I guess. Is the point to own a crossbow or a toy built from an ar15?īecause if the point is to have a cross bow you are wasting your money for something not very practical or comparable in the market. ![]() ![]() Microsoft NTFS for Mac by Paragon Software. But while the merging of many magazines means the price for pictures has plummeted, Wert believes that as long as celebrity gossip retains its value, so too will street photography. Often, he says, these images would incite a bidding war. Kenneth Wert, a producer at Getty Images who worked as a photo editor for OK! and US Weekly at the height of the media’s celebrity monopoly, remembers forking out tens of thousands of dollars for an exclusive set of Kardashian photographs, or $2 million for snaps of a celebrity wedding. Now, celebs can just post on Instagram in real time and the media will pick it up later that day.” “Prior to Instagram, your weekly magazines were reliant on paparazzi to provide images for them to print, and fans were reliant on magazines to see celebrities. “Social media overhauled the celeb photography game,” says Caleb Church, a crisis publicist for high-profile entertainers. “Paparazzi were able to capture moments that would have otherwise never been seen by the regular public, giving everyone access to some kind of voyeuristic pleasure,” she says. This, in turn, has stripped tabloids and classic pap shots of their “gotcha” power, says senior major label publicist Jennifer Taylor. Now, celebrities control their own narratives - they readily offer bikini bodies and makeup-free selfies from their own cameras, which are devoured by fans despite the digital nip-tucks - and call photographers like Diggs to stop by at their own whims. But social media has turned the pap-celeb relationship from one of contention to collaboration. In the early 2000s, you’d hear frequently about clashes between paps and celebs, from stunts gone wrong to outright violence, and the often-embarrassing photos that landed in “Stars, They’re Just Like Us!” tabloid pages were the result of professional stalking. Hollywood’s paparazzi business used to look quite different. “Having that kind of trust with people is very important to me.” “There are tons of people that I’ve built relationships with over the years and if they’re up to something or feeling extra fly that day, I’ll swing by,” says Diggs, who is contracted to photo syndication platform Shutterstock.
